Architectural Sales Representative – Interior Finish Products

Kansas City Area

We are seeking an Interior Finish Sales Professional. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for interior design with the drive to sell. You will work with the top Architects and Designers in the Metro area. The company is a market leader and highly respected distributor in the interior finish products industry with locations throughout the Midwest. You will be working with the finest products in the industry, quality people and a customer service staff known as the best in the business.

Responsibilities:

1.Use lead sources to identify upcoming business opportunities.
2.Call on and work with Architects and Designers to increase commercial business.
3.Manage current and new A&D clients to provide solutions and seek additional sales opportunities.
4.Develop a sales territory plan with goals and activities.
5.Occasional overnight travel required.

Candidate Profile:

1.2 years of sales experience preferred.
2.Interior Design degree.
3.Proven track record in selling interior products to the specifying community.
4.Experience in selling higher end, higher quality products.
5.A combination of past experience helpful in these areas:
a.Business development
b.Building trades
c.Architecture and design
d.Interior finish products
e.Specifying products
6.Strong computer skills required.
7.Personality traits: Enjoy working independently, is a self-starter with a sense of urgency, can interface with others, good problem solver, and enjoys sharing in success.
8.Strong presentation, oral and written skills.

Showroom Design Consultant – Full time

As a Showroom Consultant for Interior Finish Products, you will be part of a winning sales team. RBC Tile & Stone is a market leader in the tile and stone industry with locations in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Milwaukee, Des Moines, Omaha, and Kansas City. You will be working with the finest products in the industry along with quality people and a customer service staff known as the best in the business. RBC features high-end products from around the world. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for interior design with the drive to sell.

Responsibilities:
1. Assisting clients with their tile & stone selections
2. Working with Designers, Architects, Tile Contractors and Homeowners
3. Development & maintenance of showroom displays
4. Keeping sample room stocked with current samples
5. Pricing of new samples
6. Follow up with clients

Candidate Profile:
1. Showroom Sales experience preferred
2. Good sales skills
3. Must be creative and design oriented
4. Highly motivated
5. Work well with others
6. Outgoing and personable
7. Strong communication skills
8. Excellent computer skills

This position is full time, Monday – Friday. Excellent benefits package and 401(k) plan. Compensations based on experience.
